Description:

This project will rehabilitate the pavement on MLK Jr. Boulevard by replacing the top layers of deteriorated pavement and removing sections of pavement that have completely failed. $100,000 of federal funding for this project will be used for pedestrian and bicycle improvements, including two new pedestrian crossings with rectangular rapid flashing beacons near the bus stops by Autzen Stadium. Sidewalk access ramps will be reconstructed at several locations.

Funding:

The major source of funding for this project comes from local fuel taxes and federal surface transportation funds. Additional funding is coming from stormwater and wastewater utility fees.
