OR 126: Springfield Paving and Cable Median Barrier (Project completed)

Completed: Yes
MTIP: OR126:I-5 U'XING-OR126B (SPRINGFIELD) DEVELOPMENT Construction Year: 2013
Jurisdiction: Oregon Dept. of Transportation (ODOT) Mode: Road
Description:
  • Pavement preservation and safety improvements will be constructed.  The roadway will be repaved in order to take care of any rutting, pot holes, or cracking problems. The last several hundred feet of the eastbound 42nd Street on and off ramp terminus will be reconstructed.
  • Cable barrier will be placed in the median from Mohawk Blvd to Main St., Springfield.  This is to prevent vehicles traveling in opposite directions from crossing the median and crashing head-on.

Traffic Impacts:

The ramp will be closed during weekends while the reconstruction of the 42nd Street Interchange on and off-ramps work takes place.  A detour route will be signed.

Detour Information
