Description:

The top layers of deteriorating pavement on 30th Avenue will be removed and replaced from Franklin Blvd. to Spring Blvd.  In areas where the pavement has deteriorated beyond the top layer, full depth pavement repairs will be made. Traffic loop detectors will be installed at the 30th Avenue and McVay Highway intersection and all damaged guardrail will be replaced at the 30th Avenue/I-5 bridge interchange.  A section of Franklin Boulevard from 30th Avenue to the north will undergo pavement removal and replacement.  Damaged pavement areas on McVay Highway will be repaired and then the entire roadway will be paved from I-5 exit ramp 189 southbound to 30th Avenue.  The Gonyea Road and Spring Boulevard ramps will also be paved within the scope of this project.

Timeline: June 17 to September 13 of 2013
Traffic Impacts:

Daytime single lane closures, limited duration nighttime road closures at the 30th Avenue/I-5 bridge and Franklin Blvd.  Exit 189 northbound and southbound will be closed during the nighttime work.

 

Work Schedule:

The work west of McVay Highway will occur during daytime hours from approximately 7 am to 6 pm.  All work east of McVay Highway will occur at night from 7 pm to 6 am.

Funding:

Federal-Aid and ODOT/State Pavement Funds, Lane County Road Funds.
