Description:

This project includes installation of sewer line; repairing failing asphalt; construction of curb, gutter and driveways; full depth reclamation of existing roadway; paving the roadway; adjusting guardrail; placing pavement markings and installing traffic signal loops.

Timeline:

Construction is anticipated to be between May 30 and July 15, 2014.

Traffic Impacts:

The work includes road closures, nighttime construction, weekend work and single lane restriction.  Vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic will be impacted.  Construction activities and work times will be posted on Portable Changeable Message Boards.  Detour routes will be posted when work includes road closure.  When roads are open during construction traffic will be controlled with the use of Flaggers.  Local traffic should seek alternate routes to avoid work areas whenever possible.  Specific areas of construction and the traffic impacts are:

Glenwood Blvd. (Franklin Blvd. – E. 17th Ave) – Work requiring lane closures will be conducted at night between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 a.m., Monday through Friday.  This section will be closed to through traffic, open to local traffic only.

Glenwood Blvd. (E. 17th Ave. – 22nd Ave.) – Work will be conducted during day between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.  One lane will remain open to traffic controlled by Flaggers.

E. 17th Ave. (Glenwood – Lane County Waste Receiving Station) - Work requiring lane closures will be conducted at night between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 a.m., Monday through Friday. This section will be closed to through traffic, open to local traffic only.

E 17th Ave. (Glenwood Blvd – Henderson Ave.) – Work will be conducted during day between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Sunday.  Reclamation of existing roadway work will be on weekends.  One lane will remain open to traffic controlled by Flaggers.

Work Schedule:

The project work schedule has not yet been developed but will occur between May 30 and July 15, 2014
