I-5/Beltline Interchange Unit 3 (Project completed)

The project will rebuilt the interchange at Interstate 5 and Randy Pape Beltline Highway to meet modern design and safety standards.  State funds from the Jobs and Transportation Act will build:

  1. A new I-5 southbound to westbound Beltline off-ramp.
  2. A new I-5 southbound to eastbound Beltline off-ramp.
  3. A new westbound Beltline to southbound I-5 on-ramp.
  4. A new Beltline Bridge over I-5
  5. And base construction and structures for a new multi-use path to connect south of the interchange to north of the interchange.  Path is to open upon completion of Unit 4 in 2016.
Business Access During Construction? Yes

Spring 2013 - Winter 2014

Traffic Impacts:

Slight delays for EB and WB  Beltline motorists.  New signal at a new SB I-5 to EB/WB Beltline off-ramp.  Detour of EB Beltline to NB I-5 traffic during nighttime ramp closures.

The Jobs and Transportation Act has provided $80 million of funding for the construction of Units 3 and 4, the final phases needed to bring the intersection to current standards.  Approximately $20 million of construction is scheduled for 2013.
