Description:

• This project will install a traffic signal at the intersection of 18th Avenue and Oak Patch Road.
• The project will also include pedestrian sidewalk ramp upgrades.

Business Access During Construction? No
Road Closure:

Drivers should expect lane closures and lane shifts during construction.   As with any construction, drivers should expect equipment and workers in the roadway leading to potential delays during the work.  Bicycles and pedestrians should also expect delays and potential detours.

Timeline:

The work is expected to begin in September

Traffic Impacts:

• Drivers should expect lane closures and lane shifts during construction.
• Bicyclists should expect to merge with motor vehicle traffic depending on available lane widths during construction.
• With any construction, drivers should expect equipment and workers in the roadway leading to congestion and delays during the work.

Work Schedule:

• This project is scheduled for construction in the fall of 2017.
• Prior to the start of street construction, the City’s arborists may be on-site trimming trees to prevent overhead limbs from being damaged by construction equipment.
• Also prior to construction, utility companies (water, electricity, gas) may be on-site adjusting their facilities in order to avoid conflicts with the work and prevent damage to their facilities.

Funding:

• The major source of funding is from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).
• Additional project funding is from Lane Transit District (LTD).
