OR 569: Beltline Highway Paving Roosevelt Blvd. – Coburg Rd. (MP 4.38 - 11.67)

http://www.oregon.gov/odot/projects/pages/project-details.aspx?project=20121

Crews are repairing and repaving the roadway, installing bridge deck membranes, repairing bridge approaches, and installing pavement markings and delineators. Crews are currently working on bridges between Roosevelt Blvd and Coburg Road.

Travelers should expect up to 20 minute delays from single lane closures on Beltline between 9 p.m.Sunday night to 5 a.m. Friday morning. Detours from ramp closures will also occur. Traffic information is available on TripCheck.com. The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of September 2018.

Completed: No
Jurisdiction: Oregon Dept. of Transportation (ODOT) Mode: Road
Description:

The pavement on Beltline is deteriorating rapidly with extensive raveling, rutting, and intermittent cracking creating a rough ride for the 55,000 - 90,000 vehicles that travel the route each day.

OR 569 is a main route in the Eugene area, carrying commuters and truck traffic through the north end of Eugene. A more expensive method of multiple lifts of asphalt would be needed if paving did not happen in 2018. Several bridges will receive waterproofing membranes and joint replacement.

Because of the need, the project was moved up and the accelerated timeline to get construction done meant that the project has been split into two portions. Maintenance patch paving will be done this summer from Roosevelt Blvd to West 11th. Full preservation paving will be done at a date to be determined.
